El Reg:

"All of the hinting and whispers can cease now that Sun Microsystems and SuSE have entered into a public tech-swapping pact.

Sun has agreed to sell, ship and support SuSE Linux Entperise Server 8 on its Intel and AMD-based servers. SuSE will return the favor by becoming a Java source licensee and by distributing Sun's JVM (Java Virtual Machine).

Sun executives have long suggested they would sell SuSE alongside Red Hat for their x86 kit. What took so long to nail the deal down? We don't know."

malloc will be first against the wall when the revolution comes...
