Somebody asks you what you favourite colour is and you answer "java colour".

When your variable names in C++ all slate C++ and big up Java. SDL_Color* i_hate_cpp_love_java = NULL;

When you try to relate objects in real life and come up with a common denominator "So theres an abstract brick class? Does roof tile extend that or is that another object?"

Not java-geek related at all, but the funniest "you know you've...." comment I ever saw was this one: You know you've been playing too much Quake when every time you see a telephone socket you die.

Pretty old-skool now, I guess, but still tickles me whenever I think of it.
