JOAL updates

A brief note on recent JOAL development. The developer bundles have been changed to zip archives, so instead of having to download and potentially unpack multiple jars you can just download the zip archive for your platform. The current nightly build reflects this change and the version number will be bumped to 1.1.0 in tomorrow's build. A couple of small bugs have been fixed and the GlueGen run-time classes have been factored out of the joal.jar archive. We plan to support JOAL in applets in the near future.

Hi Ken,

Is it possible to update the joal libs referenced by joal.jnlp?
Or to have a joal.jnlp (release) and a current (nightly) version.
(same as jogl)

We'll do this as soon as possible -- hopefully within a couple of days. We wanted to do some more testing first. How quickly do you need it? Do you need a JOGL update as well?

I don't need it quickly. For jogl it is possible to test nightly builds very easy. Because of two jogl.jnlp.

Two extension JNLPs are now available for JOAL; a current and a stable one. For now they point to the same location (JOAL 1.1.0), but going forward additional JNLPs for stable releases of JOAL will be supplied. Please see this thread for more details.
