I just upgraded to the newest CATALYST driver (3.6) and it would seem that the bug has been fixed in this release - schweet!

EgonOlsen also had these "issues", and they seem to have went away with the 3.6 release.

So all you radeon folks out there - upgrade!

just to make it totally clear:
This bug only affected ATI Radeon card owners!
