Deciding if this is a good choice?

Ok I'm in a pickle.  Darkstar, from what I've heard, sounds like the holy grail server solution for my project.  I can't seem to find any 'easy' information on details of planned release, cost, etc.  I don't want to build around the platform only to be flushed out by high server licensing costs.

Anyway,  my real question is... pretty much "Is there a projected cost for licensing?"  "Is there an estimated release date?"

where all waiting on this one also Jaye... nothing from sun yet, im just getting on with things without Darkstar for the time being, keeping in mind how Darkstar works- i hope its not a service that sun sell (where we cant host it on our own hardware), or even (god help us) a subscriptoin of useage... fingers crossed they just make it apache licence and give us all a christmas present...
