2D Java games forever!

« Posted 2006-09-07 21:54:55 »

Hi,
I'm programming an entry for the Mario game Contest. It is an RTS based on the
Mario World, 'Koopa Wars' All the factions of koopas are fightng each other to become
the dominant.
So far I have the pathfinding and the player control OK, but now I need to design the
CPU AI, It will be simple, the game has one type of resource (Mushrooms) One unit
that harvest and attacks (Koopa Troopa) and a Castle for each Player.
I've been  without Internet connection in the last time so I cannot upload the game to my
server.

I attached a screenshot  of the debug screen.

Any ideas/questions for the AI or the game, just post them!

   Rafael.-

Hi,

Ok, I uploaded a working version of the game.

   Download it here: http://www.dcc.uchile.cl/~rcarvall/KoopaWars.jar

The CPU AI creates koopas and sends them to any place in the map.
The player are the Red Koopas!

    All feedback welcome!

runs well, however when making multiple units after a while, the units get stuck in the top left corner of the screen and can't be moved.
