I know that there is nothing as annoying as someone pushing their products in your face, but I'm going to gibber a bit about this because it's the first time I've ever been on a single that got released and also cos it's really good...

So anyways, our first single is out today - it's download only and at the time of writing it's only visible on iTunes, I think Napster and Yahoo probably add new stuff on american time.

If you feel like listening to a bit of a classic guitar anthem and supporting a JGO regular who dreams of playing bass guitars for a living with your 79p you can find Close To The Sun here (if you have iTunes already) or get iTunes and then click on that link if you don't have it already.

It's pretty exciting even if
a) we have no hope of touching on the edge of any charts
b) even if we did they've stopped doing Top Of The Pops already now so I've missed that from the list of 100 things to do before you're 30
and c) I'm 30, so I've missed anything else off that list that I haven't already done...

Nice one.

I'm thinking of getting a band together here in Taunton with one of the guys from work. Probably be some cross between Jane's Addiction and NIN.

If you can get the brutality of NiN with the awesome funkiness of Janes the outcome could be amazing. You'll need an amazing drummer to carry it off, though...

I used to play in a band too several years ago... I tried to do some solo stuff afterwards... This one http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~schabby/Zivihymne.mp3 is still my biggest "hit"  Grin It's German and means "anthem of civil service"...
