i tried looking for the source for java3d here:
https://java3d.dev.java.net/source/browse/java3d/www/
but theres no .java files in that directory tree...just cvs files, jpegs, and html

Particularly, I'm looking for com.sun.j3d.loaders.objectfile.ObjectFile

You need to go to the project CVS and either use a CVS client to DL the entire repository it or browse it file by file from the web CVS interface.

There are instructions on the website. Look on the left side for "CVS" or "project repository"

thats what i've been doing...i've downloaded the whole the whole repository through eclipse cvs and theres no source in there...just did it again now to check and go the same promo stuff with no code...this same process has worked for other projects including the java3d game sdk and jme.

all the files are in the subproject`s cvs instead of the main one somwher on the home page of java3d it sais which project handels which files i whated to look at the code recently Grin
