  rpg movement system problem!!  (Read 1042 times)

i'm codding a final fantasy tactics-like game,  and i'm having problems with the movement system, the problem is: the character is standing in the center of a grid with diamond shape, you choose a position, and the character moves there, but i can't figure out the path-finding logic when the character moves between the axiss'  or, when there is an obstacle in the midel of the path, any help would be aprecciated.

You need to use the 'A star' algorithm.

A very quick search found this, but there's plenty more info out there:
