I wonder why java has no class called GraphicsCapabilities or something similar, I tend to use writing mostly GUI applications (so nothing relarted to gaming, i am just here since campell posts here
... thanks god his music career did not take off till yet!!!).
I would like to use AA or transculescent stuff when accerlated (like OpenGL does), but for now I have to disable it since in some platforms (X11) it really distroys performance even on fast machines.
Something like GraphicsCapabilities could give the user detailed information about accerlation possibilities of the currently used pipeline.
I think this could be also really useful for gaming.
