Easy - just write in any language you want to. There are quite a few French speakers on the board and sometimes they post in French and actually I wish they'd post a bit more so I can learn a bit more French Smiley Sadly I know hardly a word of any other languages though Sad

Ni hao ma?

Your English is better than my Mandarin.  I have learned a few words, but don't practice enough.

I haven't heard "ni ne?" before, but think it means "and you" so...

Hen hao.

"and you?" is correct.

The response is typically "Wo ye hen hao."  ("I am also very well")

If only I could test my pronunciation online Smiley

Wo ye shou Hanyu Yidiandian... Wo shi liuxuesheng cai ShangHai JiaoTong DaXue. Xin Nian Kuaile!!

Well, but all my comp sci courses are in English... I would be totally lost otherwise.

some of my friends are interested in this community but, unfortunately, their english is even worse than that of mine  Undecided

Are you a student as well? I take it you are a graduate student?

Please tell your friends to join! We all could practise our Fayin and Yufa Smiley

I noticed that many Chinese are very hard on themself although their English is quite good. I am sure they will do just fine! Besides, everybody is tolerating my English too Smiley

Corrected sentence : "Non, c'est pas vrai ! Tu as écrit quelque-chose en français ! (I didnt understand what you did mean by Justemente..). N'est-ce pas ?"

Ich kann Deutsch sprechen, aber sehr schlecht.

The true problem with making a multi-languaged forum is the interface should be translated for each user, and that's not easy. (I know it's possible with SMF, but even with that the english, french, german, russian, spanish, italian.. subjects would be all messed up).

Japp, aber es tut sooooooo gut mal was auf Deutsch zu schreiben hier! *durchatme* Es ist fuer mich immernoch etwas krampfig was sinnvolles auf Englisch zu schreiben. Zumal dem Forum ein Spell Checker fehlt. Und ein Grammar Checker auch. Und Posts in Word vor zu schreiben ist unsportlich... finde ich Smiley Hier noch fix ein bisschen Werbung für mein Blog.

Corrected sentence : "Non, c'est pas vrai ! Tu as écrit quelque-chose en français ! (I didnt understand what you did mean by Justemente..). N'est-ce pas ?"

Thanks! But it was not so bad, wasn't it? Smiley With 'justemente' I tried to say something like "just right now you did"....

Hey! Your sentence is correct! Including the capitalization that drives some many non-Germans insane.

Yeah, I agree.. it is hard enough sometimes to get an answer on a subject even in English (and without too many misspellings). However, I know from some (German) friends that they find it to ... stressful to write on this English forum although they would love to contribute. I can imagine that there are more people like my friends and the ones of our Chinese friend above...

Btw, does anyone know a nice German Java Gaming Forum?

Cmon, guys, I am Croatian and I managed to learn English. Why wouldn't someone try to learn Croatian? It's not that difficult. And you will have something to brag about when you drink your beer... Wink

Hey, wow! That's a coincidence! I guess all good computer science people in China went to SJTU. And they keep kicking butts in the ACM Awards. Just last term they made it happen again (it was last term, right? I lost my feeling for time). Lately, We had one of the ACM winners in a course... he's a nice guy!
