Any really.

I use Eclipse for workign on JNWN.

Netbeans works fine too and there is a J3D scene graph browser plug in for it that can be useful.

IntelliJ woudl work fine too.

Basically your favorite Java IDE.

Netbeans works fine too and there is a J3D scene graph browser plug in for it that can be useful.

Didn't know this plugin yet, thanks for the hint; I'll look out for it.

Btw several of the updated demos in Java3d now have got some ".form" files in the source packages so some of the developers use Netbeans to develop.

It's all matter of taste since there are several good IDEs, as Jeff stated. My favorite is Eclipse. Its extended code formatting capabilities, design and plugin support are the best. For me, that is  Wink
But if you aim just in Java3d, maybe Netbeans will be the best choice since they have module for it.

i cant get the plugin to work whith netbeans 5.0 (i got it from http://java3d.netbeans.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList   i downloaded release_2.0_beta_20020517.zip  is that the right one)
