I want to create a 3D model of the Deep Impact spacecraft and impactor for a personal project I'm working on.  I found a model that cost $150.00 but since I'm not trying to make any money from this project so I trying to spend as little as possible.

Has anyone created a complex 3D model using GeometryInfo?  If so, what approach did you take?  Or, is it possible?

Should I make each component of the spacecraft a Shape3D object and group them together?

Thanks! Smiley

Id go get something like Milkshape and build your model in that, then use  a loader to load it into J3D.

That is the most sensible way I guess.  Just didn't want to take the time to learn a modeling tool.

Thanks!
