C++ game programmer in need of some java help

Ok, so I've been programming in c++ for about a year now (seriously for a year, anyway), and I've recently started learning java.

However, I'm more of a "learn as you go" type of person, so in order for me to be able to understand something I need to see it done first.  This works because I have a good memory and can apply things as soon as I learn them.

Having said that, is there anyone out there that has a basis for a game?  Don't forget, I've worked with game programming in c++ so I basically need to see how logic and everything is done in a basic game.

I was also hoping for something like an RPG.  I'm currently making one on my free time with my c++/SDL concepts, however, we need to make something for class in java and I thought an RPG would be cool.

Plus, I'd rather look at something more structured towards what I want to make so that I can use it for my reference.

In case you didn't understand.....

I'm looking for a framework of some type of RPGish type of game.  I'm not asking for the actual game, I'm just seeing if anyone has anything lying around they wouldn't mind showing me so that I can analyze how java works as far as the game aspects go.

It's just really hard going from a semi-OOP with globals and stuff to java which is almost entirely OOP

Haha, ya I can explain that.  When I went back to the forums I saw that my post was 4th in line.  Naturally, I thought it was a busy forum (plus I left the computer for an hour and then came back to post it) and my thread was heading towards the bottom.  Little did I know that they were stickies, and mine was on top.
