Ok, I know this is WAY off topic, but I couldn't think of a better group of people to ask!!  Grin  I am looking to a good, preferable open-source, C++ IDE.  I know there is a plugin for Eclipse, but while I Love Eclipse for Java development, I really don't like that plugin!  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

jEdit?

Forcibly "open sourced" MSVC .net?

Open Watcom? (Or how it was spelled?)

Freeware IDE is better term.

I hear good things about Code::Blocks ( http://www.codeblocks.org/ ) if you're after an alternatie to CDT.

I tried Dev C++ and Code Blocks last night.  I liked the fact that Code Blocks came packaged with the compiler, but it seemed a bit unfriendly from a user perspective.  But... then again that's what I thought about Eclipse when I first tried it, but now I could never go back!!  I think I'll stick with it for a while and see how it goes!  Thanks for all of your advise!  Grin
