The Jungle is a virtual environment for studying AI.

Programmers can write their own creatures and send them to The Jungle to see them fight for their lifes against other living creatures!

This is written in Java 5 and uses genetics algorithms. Creature programmers should use a lot of IA for making this more fun.

A functional core is already working and we need help from the community to make this grow. There are creatures' abilities and senses that weren't implemented yet by the main engine.

If you wanna see it working, download Eclipse 3.1M3+, catalog cvs and checkout the modules from thejungle. Remember to configure Eclipse compiler to Java 5.

Imagine multiple 'jungles' running on different machines all over the World so that creatures can travel thru RMI from one machine to other for searching a better condition of life!

As there are no "no" votes I am chosing to hold this project over for one more week in  order to gather its last required "yes" vote.

yes

It's times like this that I wish I'd listened to what my dad used to tell me.
Yeah? What was that?
I don't know. I never listened.
