I had the same problem, the reason why my emulator didn't worked was becuse of that my user files where in under a map called "ägaren". And the emulator does not like non english letters. When I changed my user directory it worked.

I am making a game, where I should implement reverb, panning, volume and maybe pitch altering. The game should be relativelty easy to port to java mobile in the future. Which is best to use for sounds, Java Sound API,  JOAL or lwjgl?
