By the way, you usually want to use a smaller scale (1/100, for example). In Box2D 1 unit = 1 meter, so just dividing by 2 means that stuff is still gonna be really big.

Heh, at my school, the calc teacher intentionally makes the first test difficult to scare people. It'll probably get better Grin

I imagine you'll only need one Network instance in the game, so why not make it static?

Puck Slide is an infinite arcade-style game where you have to power a puck past fields of mud and snow.





If you use the right amount of force, you will propel your puck across the mud and onto the field of snow. You'll get points according to how close you are to the flag (as well as occasional positive reinforcement, for motivation).
Puck Slide is integrated with Google Play Game Services, which means achievements, leaderboards, and competition.

I made this game as part of Jumpbutton Studio, which has given me a great environment to work in, so thanks to them Smiley

It's a table, so it'll align to rows and columns. If you want it centered, try colspan() to make a cell extend horizontally.

I actually just found this forum looking for the best way to loop a background in LibGDX for the new game that I am working on. I saw that it was a really neat community and after reading the rules about posting to the showcase section, thought that I would post my work.

You're fine, it's just that there are a lot of people that make an account, post here once, and never come back. It doesn't irk me personally, but apparently some people don't like it - I assure you not everyone is that prejudicial, though.

Hard to help you when this is all the information you give. What's wrong with the mouse coordinates; what is your code doing and what is the desired output? If you want the player to follow mouse position you'll most likely have to unproject the mouse coordinates.

Forum should not be devblog for something that is never going to end up anywhere.

Then I must have mistaken the forum's purpose, and should probably go delete my WIP thread. I kind of feel embarrassed posting updates if the forum was meant for professional games that are going to "end up somewhere."
Remember that this thread is about game engines. Making multiple small WIP games is the path to successfully making bigger projects, but it's often different for game engines/libraries.

  • Pirating is illegal and takes money away from developers, period.

I have that error in my IDE as well, but my android libgdx projects compile/run fine. Check under Properties -> Android, and see if you have an android version selected.

Because I was trying to understand how interpolation, the concept, works in LibGDX. I was only using the Swing statement from earlier because it was something I found on a random example, after not being able to find any in depth explanations of interpolation in LibGDX. But I will keep looking.
Interpolation in libgdx, conceptually, is the same as interpolation anywhere else. I'm not sure if you don't understand interpolation as a concept, or how libgdx implements it.
