i want to create a realistic terrain simulation. I search a bit , and i think i have to use a game engine for better performance.
What do you advise to me for this project.which game engine and what for terrain generation.

i am trying to create a terrain and walking on it. I followed the book java killer game programming chapter 27, run the program terra3d. It is exactly what i want. But i need more realistic terrains , may be closest to delta force. and which game engine do you advise for this purpose _?
