i did do a serch on yahoo i got weird annserss and APIs that have there own seangrath or do not use java 3d   Grin
You can download the PhysX API on the Ageis (sp?) website, but you'll have to jump through some hoops, and you'll also have to do the java binding yourself.
People here recommended the JOODE to me, but so far I haven't gotten into any of the physics API's.
as for dooing a binding have absulotle know idea about how to make a binding and i only know java and HTML  Embarrassed thats all + i could not figure out which classes where whick and what they did when i downloaded the API + i am not exactly sure how to use native methods corectly i half get it  Huh Huh Huh Huh ?? EmbarrassedHuh CryHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh

eh, I duno. kinda depends on your organaztion I guess. for me, instead of clicking on a source tab I have to double click a .java file instead. but it's not like my source files are all over the harddrive.

for production purposes I have in the past used an IDE for the coding but.. I've never used a WYSIWYG IDE for anything, though.. [unless you count Flash. but heh]

WYSIWYG editors, yeah... brr.

but even if you have everything in one place, you still have packages and crap you have to walk trough.

offcourse next to that you have code completion, refoactoring, debugging and as you mentioned profiling.

wat's not easy to use about eclipse, sure finding decent plugins is a f-cking mess
one time i tried to use it i just did not get it i gusse it depends what your used to i could not figure out Sun java studio creater ever

17  Discussions / Miscellaneous Topics / Re: JNI? on: 2006-07-01 22:42:58

On another note, if you find yourself doing most of your work in C/C++ and sticking it into Java on a small project then you may want to switch completely to C/C++. Wink
that is unlikley becouse i do not know C or C++
18  Discussions / Miscellaneous Topics / JNI? on: 2006-07-01 01:50:22

21  Discussions / General Discussions / Re: Will we have Java on PS3 ? on: 2006-06-15 10:45:53
Last I heard all studios except those contorlled by Sony are supporting boht HD-DVD and Blu-ray. Blu-ray drives are available for PCs, but you can't get the media for them - that's where HD-DVDs advantage is, their manufacturing process is much more similar to the existing DVDs. Looks like we will have to wait a a year to see which one "wins".
APC had an article on blueray burners for PC
22  Game Development / Newbie & Debugging Questions / Re: COULD SOMEONE ADVISE ME?!!!! on: 2006-06-11 00:36:31

23  Game Development / Game Play & Game Design / Re: To die, or not to die...that is the question... on: 2006-06-06 22:35:46
i think that you shuld not die but if you are killed you wake up in  hospital and you lose some strenth say you have 90strenth and you were kiled you would have say 1 point of strenth tooked off you so you have 89strenth and end up back in town in hospital not out in the battel of near the rare prizes of the wildernes and so on

It would be nice if something came of it. I'm sure it's feasible. MVM sounds like something we could do with on the desktop as well (always-resident Java execution service anyone?)

Cas Smiley
is there any webpages/articles about that Grin Cool
links please
