1  Games Center / Contests / Re: Java Game Contest - NEW!! on: 2005-12-20 20:22:32
Thanks for all of your interest  Grin

We've left the rules vague to encourage as many submissions as possible. While java games that are webstartable can be submitted for review, the end product (should the game in the contest) would need to be an applet in order to be integrated with Game Trust's Game Frame API.  Honestly, you can submit any java game - besides, it's free ;-)

For your information, Game Frame is Game Trust's community and commerce platform that we license to top gaming sites worldwide, like MiniClip.com and Shockwave.com. By integrating their Java web games with our API, developers get access to community features (chat, invitations, high score, ratings, profiles, etc.), increased distribution across our network, and new revenue streams (cash tournaments, subscriptions, downloads). We have full documentation and an assistant to help you through the integration process.

Feel free to contact me directly with any specific questions :-) (jonathan-at-gametrust-dot-com)

Hey All,

I hate to 'spam' this message board on my first post, but I think this will be of interest ;-)...

Game Trust has just announced the Second Annual Casual Game Evolution Challenge. This year we have better prizes and will feature the 3 finalists in our booth at the floor of GDC.

One Grand Prize Winner will win a $20,000 distribution contract (including a healthy revenue share), plus an 8-day "Adventure Tour" for 4 to Costa Rica - all expenses paid.

Two Remaining Finalists will win $10,000 distribution contract offers.

Game Trust will choose the 3 finalists, and display these games in our booth at GDC, where attendees will vote for their favorite game. Based on those votes we will crown the winner.

Any java web game can be submitted.

For more information and to submit, go to www.gametrust.com/contest

Regards,

Jonathan Greechan
