1  Java Game APIs & Engines / OpenGL Development / Shaders on Intel GMA900 on: 2006-02-27 23:12:11
Yes, I know its not the best graphic card in the world. But thats whats inside my laptop, which I love to program on.

Ok, the problem is that I cant find any way to write shaders (in Java/LWJGL) that works on this machine. In fact, I havn't even got any shader to work on my stationary computer either but at least it dont whine on "No hardware support" or something when I call glCreateShader(). If I must guess I would say thats because the graphic card only can handle OpenGL 1.4, and glCreateShader() is in the GL20-library.

But how am I supposed to use the shader funcionality in this card without glCreateShader()? Any help is welcome. This is the first time Im encountering shaders, so be nice. Smiley

Im talking about this card: http://www.intel.com/design/mobile/gma900.htm (Mobile IntelĀ® 915 Express Chipset Family)

fixed. he had two http://'s in his jnlp url. not sure why it redirected to microsoft.com though...?
Thats probably because he used Firefox. When it cant parse a entered adress, it uses google luck on it. And microsoft.com is the first site when searching for http.

Have you looked into the bug when you "fall through" some goombas (2-3 on the same place, quite rare)?

Ahhh.

Btw, in the first post you state that the goomba count will go as low as 5, but it accually is 4. Which is wrong, the game or the info?

edit: I hope it is the info, because 4 is good. 3 on the ground and one falling down. Smiley

Ok, I hate this game. It will ruin my lectures, totally. I just cant stop playing it!
Hope you are happy now, I've played this game for several hours now instead of studying.  Angry Tongue

This game is awesome. Cheesy
I had the same problem as Morre with the window outside the screen.

But, I hate the goombas AI. They tend to flee from me and leave a big empty space right below me.  Roll Eyes

Nice one. But its possible to cheat when you are running out of time. Just press esc and then continue and you will get the time left-timer reset. Smiley
