I think every one hs had the same idea it's juat up to board people like us to jump on board.  CCS/PHP whatever do have there uses where one might want to save geomod data on a simple tilemap game to sql or stats or what ever, maybee RSS feeds may be relevent for making a newspaper in a game more realistic. everthing helps just a matter of finding a use.

Um I personally Know
AutoScript,C,CPP, a little assembly, Basic of course and that just the programming.
+ play almost working GB type emulator on MS XLS of all things.
Currently interested only in java. but can also
Mix Audio, Sreate Seamless Loops, Effect(though been a while)
Paint Sop Pro, Corel(Hate IT it sucks arse),Vector Works(but not for a while) Seamless Tiles and such.

I have fiddle with 3D but dont care for it as im old school Amiga/Atari 2D only.
Willing to share ideas and help if you see fit

just quicky browsing i noticed that your panning somthing about seemless and randonly generated textures and worls.  Just remeber Seeding must be made procedural and done one by one or threads will cause errors, 2 save game will be a bitch.  and when you use the good ol randomly generated terain and world's you find you miss the personel tough. I'm just a hobbyist but i woprked on simmilar stuff of my own just make the filters all pre processable and availible at runtime so make as many just small as you need and consider the gameplay. you make the gameplay not the computer. that is the fun stuff.
4  Discussions / Community & Volunteer Projects / The Cause (game proposal) on: 2005-09-18 07:57:26
The Cause is a project I am working on.  I am still wrighting a proposal to send to People who are Interested.
The Concept is in general a full interactive self adaptive world based on concepts from GTA London, Privateer, Kingpin, Oceans Eleven(I Guess) and even good ol Worms.  This is to be a free product. A challenging system incorperating many new concepts and proposal revisions are welcome.  If you are interested in all in getting togeather and making somthing great and releasing it free, Pease contact Me. Oh, Platform is Java.  and i have made a Joystick(s) Wrapper for keyboard and mouse and I can make the Jar launcher no probs.
