this might sounds silly, but can any body think of how we can use quartz in games development, (auto saving for example ), here is a link for qurtz, any idea guys.

Thanks man for making things clear for me. .  For the first time that i have take a look at it, i though it would fit very nice with games, especially when it talked about the old image manipulation with awt and there new model. they have metioned that its faster, and more easy to deal with images via it, instead of java2d, also they claim that it can be customized to reach a higher speed than that in java2d, is this true ??

Hello folks, how about using JAI to build a  j2d game engine,  i reacently took a look at it, and it seems so powerfull. Any ideas ?
