Is there an effective way to complain to Google about the store?

this is a very old topic but so useful!

t_larkworthy suggests using rules engines since FSMs don't really handle unanticipated situations. This could be a good solution but I've read on decision trees and I was wondering if it's a good or better solution to rules engines?

Hey, gouessej, why not porting your game to LWJGL applet? You would eliminate your biggest installation issues I guess and you would enable ad revenue via your web page.

I can`t figure out how that chrome store can survive and not have too much complaints from developers if Google doesn`t want to give visibility to new apps/games. This simply doesn`t make sense to me. I have the impression that the store is just a first version that will evolve for the better otherwise I can`t see how Google can have a strong adoption.

So, I`ve been watching that store for a few week now and honestly I now thinks it sucks, at least for games. This store favors only some games; newest additions never show up. New games stay invisible unless someone do a search with some relevant keywords. So, why would I pay 5$ to Google? gouessej, what`s your feedback so far about TUER in the store?

I hate any of IE but I tested with 7 at work for testing purposes: Single scroll bar but as you mentionned, no color syntax, which is normal for IE.

Not related to topic notif finally; can't repro it. But I got the exact same error message 2-3 times in a row when I was trying to see the last posts on ones that I replied ("Show new replies to your posts."). You know the icon you click at the end of last table column? The error seems random and root cause is really unclear then.

I though reporting bugs like this one might help to solve issues.

About captcha, in case you wouldn't know, some spam bots are highly sophisticated so that they're able to recognize basic to a bit more complex ones. I don't know of you have the possibility to require a fairly complex captchas on the form so that most of the time only humans are able to read it?

Same here about game being choppy. Didn't hear sound though.

To make life much harder to spam bots the forums should require a capcha validation on each post and more importantly on user registration. I know it's embarassing for honest users but that helps.

I love dishmoth's logo style. Though I'd rather limit the emphasis of yellow and give more space to games in the background. I'd also put more emphasis on the JGO text outline, like an electric blue for example.

Chrome web store shows potential for java indies. The only thing that bugs me, and that's not minor, is this MS attitude now from Google: you have to use THEIR browser to use the store. Where are you going with Google? To yet another supremacy?

The game concept is really good. The graphics of the character are good but the rest doesn't look pro. The music doesn't match the game style. The game pace is much slower than the music feels. The same goes about the stressing tone of it. And finally it's too repetitive.

There're some game play issues I think need improvement:

1. Game speed make the game way too hard. I know I'm not the best player in the world but I think I'm a much better skilled player than the casual one. The simplicity of the game fits well casual players but the game difficulty is way too high for this type of player and in general.
2. Controls: the way to use the boost (Z + arrows) is just awkward. I think this makes the game more difficult than it should. It makes the game "artificially" difficult but is in fact a control design flaw.
3. Level progression is too steep. Create more intermediate levels to have a lower difficulty progression.

Why coding it in C++? Just code it with flixel or maybe even easier, with Stencyl. You'll have much more chances to have the game reviewed outside the Java world, if that's your goal.
