The Disney Mobile Studios team is looking for a senior level J2ME Developer to manage/perform ports of J2ME games and applications to the mobile handsets supported by Disney Mobile Studios.  This is a lead/managerial role, having between one and four direct reports.  This role’s duties will be split between performing porting duties and managing the those that perform porting duties.

Responsibilities:
J2ME GAMES/APPLICATIONS ACQUISITION
* Manage/perform the receipt of reference builds for J2ME games/applications from the WDIG creative and/or operations teams
* Manage/perform the review of reference builds to assure adherence to required porting specifications
J2ME GAMES/APPLICATIONS PORTING
* Manage/perform the configuration of porting systems to the requirements of the project
* Manage/perform the porting of reference builds into versions compliant with destination handsets
* Manage/perform the quality assurance (QA) checks on ported builds using handset emulators and handsets
J2ME GAMES/APPLICATIONS DELIVERY
* Manage/perform the timely delivery of ported builds to the WDIG Delivery Manager
TEAM INTERFACE AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT
* Maintain effective working relationships with direct reports as well as those providing reference builds, receiving ported builds, and providing porting technologies/platforms
* Review vendor invoices for accuracy and submit to manager

Qualifications:
* 3+ years experience in technical project management
* 3+ years in game/application development
* 5+ years in computer programming
* Bachelor degree in technical subject, preferably engineering or computer science
* Knowledge of and interest in wireless technologies

Specific Skills Required:
* Java programming/development (preferably with J2ME experience)
* Experience with XML
* Outstanding attention to detail and organizational ability
* Strong capability to manage people and projects
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Quality focused

The Disney Mobile Studios team is looking for an Audio/Video Integrator to manage the operational processing of audio and video content for Disney Mobile Studios.  Typical duties will consist of acquiring content, converting media files into multiple formats, working with creative and encoding vendors, and uploading media files and entering asset meta-data into Disney Mobile Studios’ content management systems.

Responsibilities:
CONTENT ACQUISITION
* Receive assets, such as media files and video tapes, from the WDIG creative team, external vendors and/or other Disney departments
* Review assets to assure adherence to specifications (i.e., media formats, file formats, picture sizes, platform compliance)
CONTENT PROCESSING
* Convert content into destination file formats using automated tools
* Deliver content to external vendors for processing into destination file formats
* Perform quality assurance (QA) checks on converted/encoded content using computer applications, handset emulators and/or handsets
CONTENT UPLOADS AND SITE UPDATES
* Upload media files to back-up servers and/or content management systems
* Enter asset meta-data into content management systems, mainly via an HTML interface
TEAM INTERFACE AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT
* Maintain effective working relationships with teams and vendors providing content
* Review vendor invoices for accuracy

Qualifications:
* 3+ years experience in electronic multimedia production and/or site integration
* Strong computer skills, including some level of experience with audio/video production, encoding, file conversion and playback
* Background in music and/or knowledge of music theory
* Familiarity with common multimedia asset formats (e.g. JPEG, MPEG, MIDI)
* Familiarity with common production and multimedia applications (e.g., Adobe PhotoShop, Windows Media Player)
* Bachelor degree in any subject or training/certification in an Internet-related field
* Knowledge of and interest in wireless technologies

The Disney Mobile Studios team is looking for a Porting Lead to manage the porting process for our domestic wireless games and applications (BREW, JAVA and 3D) published under the name Starwave Mobile.  The duties of this position include the development and implementation of programs and services that will support both the internal processes and the external porting vendors’ ability to develop and deliver high quality wireless games and applications.

Responsibilities:* Developing and coordinating of porting process for wireless games and applications including BREW, JAVA and 3D.
* Working with the internal creative team, external developers, and porting vendors to manage the product development and QA timelines to ensure timely delivery of a quality product.
* Coordinating quality approvals through the third party developers and internal/external creative teams.
* Tracking bug reporting with QA and porting developers.
* Assisting Submissions Lead in managing delivery of the product to our distribution partners.
* Testing products before delivery to carriers/partners.
* Managing any problems, bugs, and fixes that are required for the product to function properly.
* Tracking and monitoring multiple SKUs (games and applications).
* Developing proven porting and distribution process for wireless content.
* Creating bug databases to track and communicate porting issues.
* Developing porting roadmaps and timelines, and foreseeing/solving bottlenecks in the product development and porting processes.

Qualifications:
* 3+ years experience project or product management or leadership experience within Production or QA
* Proven track record of client/account management experience
* 3+ years experience within wireless or a similar industry, such as internet, media, gaming or consulting
* Knowledge of wireless technologies, industry and wireless market trends a plus – must be interested in this area and willing to learn
* Game development or QA experience a strong plus
* Strong computer skills - proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Photoshop
* Bachelor degree
