1  Discussions / Jobs and Resumes / Re: Sr. Java Engineer position - Bay area MMPOG on: 2005-04-19 12:24:02
Of course it would be most desirable for this company to find someone who meets all of these qualifications, but they are realistic about it.  If someone were to fall slightly short, I believe he/she would still be considered.

If anyone posts today and I do not respond until tomorrow, I'm not dodging you.  My son is home sick today with a fever.  Embarrassed

I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

4  Discussions / Jobs and Resumes / Re: J2ME Programmers needed! on: 2005-04-15 11:08:11

I'm going to answer that based on what I was told by someone who is running a wireless game company, because this was a concern of mine.  So if it's way off the mark it's not my fault.  Wink

I heard that the majority of the people who download mobile games are women.  The game industry has been struggling, trying to find a way to market women (the buying power in this country) for ages.  It looks like they've done it with mobile.

As for the people wanting faster and better mobile devices, I agree.  There is a push to make them better, faster, stronger.  I'm sure the devices will be running proper Java in no time and mobile games will be better and faster and thriving.

Oh so that's where all the j2ME Programmers have been hiding.  Wink

I think having to obtain a visa makes it alot tougher, but if the programmer is a superstar then we are always interested.
