I study Computer Science in Germany at an University and we actually do some practical stuff.
This Semester we wrote e.g. a small game for the Kinect, but we also had to do all the documentation.

I also had the problem a couple of times and just couldn't figure out how to get back to my desktop.
So I'm also looking for a keyboard-combo or something to close the Game. Maybe somebody has an Idea?

And since it also happens with Games from other people I can't change the code, so I'm looking for a way to close the Game without changing the Code. Smiley

hm...that sounds weird. I'll check and try to reproduce why you couldn't play the tutorial again.

I actually never thought about that before, but it's a good Idea Grin
I think I'll add an Message when you start the Game for the first time, and ask if the player wants to play the Tutorial.

I guess you already forgot your Password because you never entered one Wink
The Game only asks for a Username and then it creates a new User and saves the user-id locally on you Computer.
If you want to use the same User on a different PC you'll need to enter a Loginname + Password and then you can login with this account on another PC.

So IMO there is no need for a Guest Account Smiley

Thanks for your Feedback Smiley

Really cool Game and it's a lot of fun.
But it gets kinda boring after you played it for like 10 Minutes.

I didn't have any Performance-Issues, except once or twice in the beginning, but that was it.

Hey,

I'm slowly getting closer to a release of my game Marble Mania and I just thought I should show it to you guys so you can test it.

In Marble Mania you can create up to 3 Marbles and play with them against your Friends and you don't even have to register! You can play on different Maps and different Gamemodes against your Friends.
Each Time you win against your Friend you gain Experience-Points and for each new Level you reach, you get Skillpoints, which you can spent on the Look of your Marble (e.g. you can change the Texture or add Flames to it) or you can buy new Skills like Invisibility or Extra-Weight for one Turn.

Marble Mania is written in Java (what else? Grin) and uses jMonkeyEngine 3.

Here are a few Screenshots:

And you can see the Trailer here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohYz8lhyt5s

or on the Site for Marble Mania:
http://marblemania.net

It would be really cool if you could test it a little bit and post the bugs you find. (or post any other Feedback Wink)

It's actually only a Multiplayer-Game, so if you want to play just ask a friend or write me Smiley
Or you can play the Tutorial against an Bot, but he is really stupid Grin

I hope you like the game and have fun playing it.

Dennis

P.S.: The Spamfilter works Cheesy
Just got an Email telling me that I should remove the Links in the Post, so just delete the spaces in the URL.

EDIT: I just changed the post again and posted the right links and screenshots, so now everything should be like it's supposed to be Smiley

It's not perfect, but there is limited time I can spend on these things...

Got an idea that is simple to implement in a crappy PHP codebase?

Have you already tried adding a new Input-Field like Email or something and add some text like "Don't fill this out" and then just block all the Posts that filled out this Field? You could probably also just hide the Input-Field with CSS, since I guess most of the Bots don't check first, wether the Field is visible or not.

Most of the Bots just fill out all Fields and send it. It works pretty good for me and some other People and it's easy to implement.

Looks really cool, but I got some trouble with my Mouse.
When I start the Game it's fine, but when I start playing I can't really move the...lets call it thing firing the balls Grin. Most of the time I can't move it at all and sometimes it does some choppy movement. Everything else is working fine.
And after I returned to the Menu my Mouse is still hidden.

I'm running 1.6.0_22 on a Macbook.
