Some other remarks:
- iOS support would be nice (LibGDX has this through RoboVM)
- a custom language is a disadvantage: instead of using something familiar such as lua or java one would have to learn a new language

We will have support for lua, java, etc. along with the custom language, and the language will be mainly a simpler form of lua with features of other languages built in.
iOS support is planned, however it is not our main priority right now, we will work on it though

We do have things coded, we just are indecicive on the exact style. Screenshots will be posted when we have something that we are happy with. We however do have a lot of the base things coded.

So after reading the initial comments i just wanted to point out some things, we are a group of friends, this is our first major project, and this is the first place we have posted our project. We will have screenshots once we have the main design determined (We are bouncing between multiple layouts/designs at the moment.)

good point, but as i said above this is in very early alpha and we only have a shell of what we are going to have, we are planning to have unity - unreal engine quality with a lot easier usage and more features. and probably a lite version, once we have a good working full version, at a much reduced cost.

Stryker Game Engine and IDE - Peasant Games

Planned Features:
- Built in IDE to the game engine
- 2D and 3D support
- Easy Scripting (click a box and it generates code for something)
- Compatible with Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, maybe more!
- Custom language that has syntax that is similar to lua, java, c, c++
- built in support for coding in lua, java, c, c++
- java compilation to native code (optional)
- Full Mantle (once released), OpenGL and DirectX/Direct3D (Windows only) compatibility
- Visual Scripting
- GLSL shaders, HLSL shaders
- and much more!

---
Version structure will most likely be as follows:
-Full version - full cost and all features
-Reduced - slightly less cost and features
-lite - little cost and only core features

Note: this project will take a while to do although when we have a fully working demo we will post screenshots on this page, we are shooting for a demo around December - January

This Demo will NOT have all, or even most, of the features

Note 2: this game engine and ide will not be free of charge so dont ask, full pricing terms will be posted here when finalized.

---Edit:
just to clear up some things, we are a team of friends, this is our first major project
the first demo will only have core features and ui elements
screenshots will come when we work out kinks with our ui and determine the style
