The time limit idea seems cool. Maybe you should also add difficulty! The harder, the faster the player and enemies move. Smiley

Fun game ! Has nice and interesting mechanics. But also make some keybindings for the "TAP" mousebutton. It's kind of annoying to constantly grab the mouse.
PS: Also make it so that we can switch levels in the level menu with the arrow keys Smiley

Ideas for names:
Planting Season
Harvest Festival
Bumper Crop
Mowin' before Hoein' (Ha-hah!)

Basically any name that has: Planting, Crop, Harvest or Farm will provide enough of an identity for people to know what to expect. Making it too similar to Harvest Moon would have the stigma of even more comparisons against it. Same with Farmville (I've never played it!)

A little game Farmville style game I'm working on. :-)



It uses no libraries at all and has an applet and an jframe version.

It has a very simple isometric tile engine and I'm planning on adding entities and plantable seeds tonight.

So I managed to get my debug level to TRACE to find why my clients are always getting disconnected for no reason.
So right before the client got disconnected by the server, this error message came up in the server console:



I have no idea why it can't read and I don't know how to fix this, I really need some help with this exception.

Hello there,

I'm making a sidescrolling shooter game. When I added the sidescrolling functionality I stumbled upon LOTS of bugs. Collision detection was completely broke, and mob rendering was screwed up.

I don't really understand what the problem is since the X keeps updating, and when you move out of the frame the X value should know you're out of the frame.... buuuuttt I keep getting things as these: (this is on a multiplayer server, notice the difference between the two frames)


So I tried to do

Also, collision detection is broke.. For some reason this function in the mob code would never return false anymore.

hi there.

I'm making my multiplayer game but movement updates are very laggy... it stutters. So I tried interpolation:

mob.setX(mob.getX()+(update.x-mob.getX())/10);
mob.setY(mob.getY()+(update.y-mob.getY())/10);


But using interpolition the position isn't really accurate anymore. Anyone that can help me?

so today I made a small game creation tool which allows to add objects (like Game Maker) to the game "room".
So now I need to face a new challange: the compiling and sharing of games made with my creator Smiley

How would I do this? I want to create a jar file based of the game that they made.

Suggestions or other ideas always welcome.
