1  Java Game APIs & Engines / Xith3D Forums / game specific tutorials? on: 2004-08-06 00:11:03
Hi, since xith3d is directed at game development i thought it would be nice to have some game specific tutorials in the docs section. I know that me as a beginner would love to see some.

The sort of things what i thought would be good is sumthing like starting off with Creating a room, then maybe a switch on the wall that opens a door or switch on a light...

I know that tutorials can require alot of effort and time to write but i thought it would just be a nice idea and i am sure it would encourage more people to continue using xith3d, cause i have gone through the basic tutorials and have just seemed to come to a dead end, im not sure if its just me being thick tho.

Well thats my comment.

How long did it take to develop?

Are you working on anything at the moment?

Does anyone know where i can get some complete game source code that has been developed using xith3d or java3d?

I do not want to use it to nick all the code and developers effort to use for a game of my own, but to use it more as a source for how the game is structured and what methods there should be etc.

this would help me learn the process of developing a game greatly.

so if you know of a place or if you are willing to send me your source please post a url or i can send you my email address.
