1  Games Center / Showcase / REscape, our new Game! on: 2014-11-12 14:32:10
Hello everyone! Last week I finished a new game, free for Android devices, that I want to share with you, REscape!

<a href=";hl=en_US&amp;start=" target="_blank">;hl=en_US&amp;start=</a>

The space creatures have been trapped in a space fleet and they need to escape at all costs to return to their planet. However, when they are trying to escape, they are defeated by their captors. Luckily, they count with a chance to REscape.

Go back to the past and memorize the obstacles to save them. Rescue as many creatures as you can!

You can download it for FREE on the Play Store:

That's all, hope you enjoy it!
2  Java Game APIs & Engines / Engines, Libraries and Tools / Re: LibGDX - Desktop resolution problems on: 2013-09-06 22:00:23
You was right. Nearest filter is what I was looking for but I dont want that textures get deformed. If I don't find other way I think I'll let use only two resolutions, 854x480 and 1708x960 (x2). After trying Linear filter in depth It gave me graphic errors like lines around textures...
3  Discussions / General Discussions / Re: How long were you programming with Java before you made your first game? on: 2013-09-06 21:45:37
Four months (but I was not all day studying). Then I read "Beginning Android Games" by Mario Zechner and tried to modify a Snake Game example in the book. Finally, there was a Jam on my city and seriously, altough I was a completely beginner, I could finish a whole game. It was awesome. On that kind of event are where the most I learn.

matheus23: I tried use nearest filter but the result was the same. Then, I tried linear filter and:

Linear gave me a nice result (I think nearest is the default filter). Thanks for your help ^^!!

netikan: But that will change the camera size, I want the camera has always the same size, window size is what I want to change.

If anybody knows other solutions feel free to tell me, please! But for now, Linear filter is doing a good job : D

I've seen many topic talking about that kind of problem but I don't know what is exactly mine. So, can you help me? I'm making a game with LibGDX for desktop. It's a platformer where there is an OrtographicCamera(854, 480) and, LwjglApplicationConfiguration size (window size, I think) is the same, 854x480.

Here you have the game with standard resolution:

Now, I change LwjglApplicationConfiguration resolution x2 (1708x960):

Sprites look nice too but, when I use another resolution, x1.5 for example (1281x720):

Pixels get crazy... there is a way in order to don't deform textures (or smooth them) no matter what is the LwjglApplicationConfiguration size?

Hi guys! I always wanted to join to this forum but first, I had to finish a game in order to understand what are you talking about!
Now, I've finished my first (and simple) game, Cats Outernet, FREE for Android devices, thanks to the framework of "Beginning Android Games" from Mario Zechner! You can try it here:

It’s the end of the world, kitties have managed to escape from the Internet, RETURN THEM TO THE PLACE THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT!.

1. Touch a cat until it’s stunned.
2. Once it’s stunned, drag it towards the vortex before it recovers.

But hurry up!, if too many cats manage to escape to the real world… game over.

I hope you enjoy the game. English isn't my native language, I'm Spanish but I'll do my best for participate in the forum!
