1  Games Center / 4K Game Competition - 2013 / Re: Space Devastation on: 2013-02-07 07:05:48
Neat update, i like the new design.
Maybe add some timeout for the ultralaser(Wait some second before using it again)?

Anyway i like the animation but the ultralaser is a bit op(overpowered).
Great work though.

My method is just making something without knowing what, like just making a background with a moving object, some time later you decide to make the object bouncy and so on. At a certain moment you know what game you're making.

You can also write some things down like: portal, mirror, laser, space. and make a mix of some words to make the game.

My first topic  Grin

Ok, this is my first lwjgl game that i just started with. It's a 2D game but I still have no idea what sort of thing it will be.
I already have custom text generated maps, moving the screen(Actually the blocks) and zooming(Making the blocks bigger and edit their x, y values).

Test it:

 Move camera:        arrow keys
 Zoom:                   a, q
 Debug screen:        F3
 Reset map:            r

To-do list:
    - camera movement
    - debug screen

     - add zoom.
     - center zoom.
     - Player
     - add textures. 50%
     - add collision with walls.

     - When moving and zooming, blocks position changes

Any suggestions?
6  Games Center / Featured Games / Re: Daedalus on: 2013-01-29 17:58:08
I know that the language has nothing to do with has almost nothing to do with the visual things, i was talking about the game itself... I read everywhere that java is only good for small games and stuff but Daedalus gave me another view of it.
Anyway, I am actually making a game atm (My first lwjgl one) I will call it Zoom, a platformer but don't know what the gameplay will be like. (Already made the maps with text, the ability to zoom and move the screen). Smiley

Greetz magnias.

I was about to learn myself some c/c++ because i saw such a beautiful things in c++, but your game makes me choose for java. Btw, best game i've ever seen in java, even though it's still wip. Wink
