1.This is a fun project that we will start out with for free. If we do make money, you will earn an amount proportional to the amount of work you put in.
2.It is a grid-like game in which you have a person walking around doing stuff. I have a basic template but that's about it.
3.I programmed the template myself, but I'd like more people.

Keep in mind you don't have to have an account here to develop! You only need a Skype. Heck, if you don't have one and STILL want to work, go to http://www.piratepad.net/barakadosgame and i'll work something out.

Hi! Me and another developer here on java-gaming are creating a good 2d game we hope to put on the site and hopefully get it onto it's own site.
We need developers for the game, so I am looking for a
  • Programmer: People who can get code in the project
  • Debuggers: People who find bugs and report them to the Programmers
  • Janitors: People who "Clean up the code" and make it better to read and faster.
  • Graphical Design: Making art that looks good.
  • Storyline Writer: Writing a gripping storyline that's funny and leaves the player wanting more
  • Musician: Writing music that is calming and inviting
  • SFX: Sounding out sounds to make kick-butt sound effects
Contact me on Skype: theamazinggya Or message me if interested, or even leave a reply on this thread. Remember, there are no limits!
5  Game Development / Newbie & Debugging Questions / Random Spazzes from the player. on: 2013-01-24 05:49:43
Hi! I am writing a program, and my main character is supposed to move in a steady direction. But sometimes he doesn't move, and sometimes he moves twice. Can someone take a look at the code and tell me if something doesn't look right? It would help me a lot!
Here is the code for Level.java, should be enough.

If you need anymore info please respond to this thread.

In this simple point and click game, you are cupid and you are trying to shoot singles to give them love. This game is also available in other custom versions, just send me a message.

As usual, send me bugs and other stuff.
Also I am looking for programmers for a big project. If interested, send me a private message Smiley.

Well, you'll get better over time. After all, it's all in fun and games.
9  Games Center / Showcase / Re: Lights Out! on: 2013-01-23 01:31:56
There's many versions of it online, most of them in different variations. I wanted to make a few of my own.

Done!

Presenting Lights Out! A classic game with a twist, err... four to be exact. The concept is simple, click lights to invert the state of that light and all lights directly touching it (AKA Up, down, left, right, but NOT diagonal). You complete the board when all the lights are out. Presenting game modes such as:
https://dl.dropbox.com/s/swpfstcasr655yo/LightsOut.jar?dl=1
  • Points Mode: Start with a random board and complete it in the fewest steps possible! The lower the score the better!
  • Zen Mode: Same as points mode, but none of the points. Just relax.
  • Light Mode: Same as zen, but only click on lights that are on! Think twice before you flip!
  • Learn Mode: Learn how to play with progressive amount of clicks.
  • Lousy Neighbor Mode: We all have that one neighbor who wants to stand out. Same as zen mode, the neighbor light will toggle states in a set range. He's really annoying.
Download, and have fun! Post any bugs/other stuff here, or not. ENJOY!

Ah yes I remember that game! Of course, most of it was spent with my hand on my chin. Still, I liked it!
13  Games Center / Showcase / Avoider on: 2013-01-23 00:38:11

Avoider, an awesome game where you dodge a path of never-ending black squares. You are green square, a little naive square that is green, and you just want to go home and eat spaghetti with your two children Bob and Jenna and your lovely wife Susanne (Storyline is not given but is shown subtly.)
Use left and right keys to move left and right, respectively. Collect tan hearts to gain lives, and avoid the black squares. Avoid the blue squares as they are especially deadly, killing you by 2 lives. R to reset, and space shoots lasers at the cost of 100 points. You gain points for every black square that touches the bottom. It is statistically possible to play forever, but I'll leave that up to you.

Report bugs, and other stuff on this thread. Also, see if you can find the hidden secret! Download comes with detachable menu with fps scroller and options for colors(Harder, but greater chance of getting specials.)
