61  Game Development / Newbie & Debugging Questions / Re: Systematic removal from a LinkedList on: 2012-11-11 13:18:12
Nah, it has to be dynamic, Could you use a buffer of objects instead?
62  Game Development / Newbie & Debugging Questions / Re: Systematic removal from a LinkedList on: 2012-11-11 11:56:48
But an array list has all that array resizing.
63  Game Development / Newbie & Debugging Questions / Systematic removal from a LinkedList on: 2012-11-11 10:10:29
I'm trying to remove items from a linked list and only going through the list once so I came up with a method of doing so.
But the numbers removed aren't the correct values. which are removed :/ and I don't know why (the first one is removed correctly)
could someone please locate the logic error?

The purpose of this is to make more efficient culling in my particle system Smiley

65  Game Development / Performance Tuning / Re: Yet another particle engine update! on: 2012-11-11 05:28:26
The point here is GPU completely devastates the CPU for these calculations. I would like to learn OpenCL and LWJGL has the capabilities Smiley

I would also like to test it at home on my 6970.

PS is there a .jar we can play around with Smiley?
66  Game Development / Performance Tuning / Re: Yet another particle engine update! on: 2012-11-11 05:09:05
My particle system can only get 100K particles at 23fps... although that's only one thread on the cpu.... and only uses a few megabytes and has point gravity.....

EDIT : My counter is better than yours! cough
67  Discussions / Miscellaneous Topics / Re: What's your favorite game. on: 2012-11-10 12:21:55

68  Discussions / Miscellaneous Topics / What's your favorite game. on: 2012-11-10 04:27:09
The title pretty much sums it up, what's your favorite game of all time?
69  Games Center / Featured Games / Re: Daedalus on: 2012-11-08 15:39:03
I did so and after a while of placing in the command into CMD I get a reply saying Launcher - terminate(true)

I tried inside the .jar and I believe it just means the ports aren't open because that's the error I got. maybe some feedback on that with the no gui version?

different target, but doesn't mean we can't do the same things.

73  Discussions / General Discussions / Re: Why I'm coming back to java and sticking with it: Ouya on: 2012-11-08 11:21:57
Might give me something to design for Smiley

Nothing happens when I enter a or d when I first play.
75  Games Center / Archived Projects / Re: Text Attack! on: 2012-11-08 08:13:51
Couldn't you just create a folder in your .jar called META-INF and put a file called MANIFEST.MF inside with the text

1
2
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Main-Class: textPack.Battle

Or just add in Main-Class: textPack.Battle into the existing one?

EDIT: Nope

I'm native English, but I never really took much interest into it at school and now I'm paying the price with university entrance requirements. (I have a way to bypass the system!)

89  Discussions / Miscellaneous Topics / Re: Eclipse Juno on: 2012-11-06 08:28:17
I did ask the question if Eclipse had it as well, because I just didn't know of it being in eclipse. I'm hardly dedicated to one or other though as said before the moving tabs is really annoying when it goes haywire which always happened to me.
