Cat On A Wire / Orangy Tang
3/5 - Brilliant technical/art work, but I never really understood why I was playing it (just to kill birds?) I hate the concept - in the UK some garden birds have been reduced by up to 70% by domestic cats. If the concept had been reversed & a bird drove cats off then this would've got 5/5! (actually the sounds were very harsh - 4/5)
Lose credit for jnlp/download.

If we had reversed it people would not make the assumption to attack the cats, instead they would probably try avoiding them, its a universally understood premise, cats eat birds and birds are stupid. If anything you should be happy that we made this game easy enough for a cat to play, and get all its frustration out on it. Also there is nothing stopping you from just hanging out with the birds or chasing them, YOU made that decision!

Hello Javagaming.org

I am Chris Cheetham aka CherrySlug (<--psn i.d if your wondering) and I'm responsible for the artwork featured in "Cat on a Wire", for more samples of my work please visit my website @ http://www.ChrisCheetham.co.uk/ and hit me up on twitter if you roll that way. Journals are always a funny thing, like any forum post im never truly sure what to write. However due to the fact me and mr tang have never met in person and we work exclusively over instant messenger I am able to present you with...

http://www.chrischeetham.co.uk/catonawiretranscript.docx

This transcript covers the entire production of cat on a wire from concept to completion over the 48 sum hours that we worked together on it, its complete with time stamps color variants for ease of reading. I just figured this would be nicer than writing out some wet journal post, and it should provide a little insight into what cross country development is like. Cheers

Slug

Wow . I really like the graphics, it does feel very dreamy. And the game is also fun to play .
But ... did I miss something or u didn't include Duke ?
anyway, thumbs up !
We ran out of time unfortunately, there was going to be clothes hanging from one of the lines with a t-shirt with Duke on it. However that would have needed a chunk of code to make them properly sway and flap.

Actually tang I named the cat after Duke without telling you, so in actual fact the entire game involves duke, I just didnt say anything before because I didnt expect anybody to get upset over it. Damn
