1  Java Game APIs & Engines / OpenGL Development / Re: JOGl video rendering. on: 2012-09-07 11:05:46
Dear  ra4king,

Can you suggest in which forum I should post this to get right answers.

2  Java Game APIs & Engines / Java 2D / Java2D on MAC. on: 2012-09-07 09:40:20
Dear All,

I am using JOGl for video streams playback on MAC. I want to enable Java2D pipeline on MAC OSX. I am using System.setproperty("sun.java2d.opengl", "true"). And I am calling Java2D.isOglPipelineActive after this, but it is returning false.

Can anyone please suggest me how to enable Java2D pipeline on MACOSX.

3  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / JOGL video rendering. on: 2012-09-07 05:06:38
Dear all,

I am newbie to JOGL and using JOGL for video rendering on MACOSX. Please help me to solve below problem. Thanks in advance.

I have to play multiple video streams received from network simultaneously with approximate frame rate of 30fps on MAC OSX and I am using GLJPanel with JInternalFrame. To achieve approximate frame rate I am using FPSAnimator and I am getting frames from native using JNI. This will work for single video stream playback to achieve 30fps, but I am facing problem with multiple video streams playback simultaneously. Because I am not able to achieve approximate frame rate of 30fps, for ex: for 4 video streams playback, I can achieve 20fps and for 8 video streams playback, I can achieve 10fps. So that my video movements are not at all smooth and I am loosing frames (Because JOGL is not playing fast enough). From this behavior, it is looking like JOGL is exactly working as single threaded not as multithreaded. Please let me know, is JOGL really works as single threaded on MAC OSX or anything else I need to do.

I am using exported jar from eclipse to XCode and running through XCode.

Dear all,

I am newbie to JOGL and working on MAC for video rendering. Please help me out to solve below problems.

I am using JOGL for video rendering of multiple videos simultaneously using GLJPanel on MAC OSX. I am using FPSAnimator for frame rate control. If I set 30fps for FPSAnimator, it will work perfectly for single video playback. But for multiple videos rendering simultaneously, it is working like single threaded and FPSAnimator not achieving set frame rate. For ex: for 4 videos, maximum frame rate I can achieve is 20fps and for 8 videos, I can achieve 10fps. Looking like it is workng as single threaded, not as multithreaded. Please help me out, how I can solve this issue to make JOGL work as multithreaded on MAC OSX.

I am using exported jar from eclipse to XCode and through XCode I am running the project using MAC JVM framework.
