1  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Re: Outdated certificates in JWS JOGL libraries on: 2009-05-19 16:33:35
Thank you very much. JOGL is not dead! It is very interesting... no security dialog Smiley

Was jogl.dev.java.net updated? As far as I can see no.

Switching to GLCanvas...
It is a shame that GLJPanel is unusable in a production-quality application.
3  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Re: Big jogl project - need your help! on: 2009-04-29 19:36:54
Wow... OK, I'll post the initialization code ASAP
What JVM are you using? (java -version)
4  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Re: Big jogl project - need your help! on: 2009-04-29 18:49:10
Thanks a lot for the feedback!

About the labels, we will consider your suggestions!
The buttons, and the JFrame size are just the drawbacks of the demo, not of the component, but I will fix them.

Can you run run-forced-pipeline.bat and see if FSAA is working?
I am glad that I posted it here. I am also going to post the initialization code to see if you guys can suggest something (we totally might be doing something wrong in the init)
5  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Big jogl project - need your help! on: 2009-04-29 16:21:04
Hey everyone!

We've been working on this jogl component for about six months.
Unfortunately, we are forced to use GLJPanel.

And here is a link to the demo application: DivShare File - plot3d-demos-Apr-09-2009.7z

Unfortunately, we are having lots of problems with many configurations.

Could you run the demo and post errors here, if any?
6  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Re: Java applet paint not working? - urgent on: 2009-04-26 23:15:44
Hi
I might be able to help you

I need:
* Your jogl initialization code
* Are you using GLPanel, or GLJPanel? If it is GLPanel, are you mixing it with Swing?
7  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Re: JOGL still evolving / promoted? on: 2009-04-26 23:10:05
Could you tell me more about these bugs? We could submit your fixes on the JOGL 2.0 sandbox to allow everyone to benefit of them  Grin I know that sometimes, some tinkering is needed on certain Mac systems and with the TextRenderer class.

Hell yeah! Wow! You cant imagine how glad I am to see the replies!

Once we get to the QA stage, I will be sending you reports. Most of them will be on JVM crashes. I have no idea why, but on many standard office configurations (low-level/embedded graphics cards that is) jogl just crashes. We will be fixing jogl sources after we get to the QA stage. For now our workarounds are mostly about not using those parts of jogl that cause crashes on our dev. machines.

More information in your PM Smiley (sorry, the NDA Sad )

8  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Re: Help on Normals on: 2009-04-25 05:54:35
Cool, I was having the same problem without shaders.
Then folks from opengl.org explained that this glitch will always be present unless you use shaders.
Now someone is using shader, but the problem persists.
Hence, the problem is likely to be in the shader Smiley
9  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Re: JOGL still evolving / promoted? on: 2009-04-25 04:27:54
Hopefully jogl is alive.
We have a huge project with jogl as an underlying renderer.
We've been developing it for a year, and now it is really close to the testing phase.
It would be really said if jogl died. I wrote too many workarounds around its bugs
10  Java Game APIs & Engines / JOGL Development / Re: Announcing: joglutils project on: 2009-02-01 19:07:25
is the project still alive?

My laptop is Acer Aspire One A150X with the latest graphics drivers and a legal Windows XP Professional copy. My laptop runs Call of Duty without any problems.

I run the application compiled with the latest jdk (1.6.0.11) on the latest jre (1.6.0.11) with the following options:
