Hi guys, can someone test the game on Mac OS. A player tells me it don't works but I have no ways to test it.

URL : http://marbleous.nacros.net/jeu-multijoueurs-gratuit.php

Just click on the button "JOUER" and the game should launch.

10  Games Center / Featured Games / Re: Breaking the Tower on: 2008-08-11 10:49:56
I like it, still trying to break the tower.

A bug for me, my first barracks don't give me warriors. After built it, it still show 0/0. Other barracks works well.

Another point, I have ten to twenty peons without brains that still want to get rock from the little island on south east.

Finishef : 58:38 Score : 10475
Thanx for that hour of play Wink

Something's annoying... You enter a comment, you submit and ooops forgot to login. You login and ... your comment is lost even if you use back of your browser.

Specially annoying for french people that take 5 minutes to write three sentences Cheesy

How rating works ?

Is there a rating for each version of the game ?

Each version improve the game and the rating could be 1.5/10 because the older version was crap.

New version 2.7 with correction is online. Lots of optimization using bufferedImage, volatileImage, bufferstrategy instead of classical Image and old java classes. The game works a lot better.
15  Games Center / Archived Projects / Re: Marbleous on: 2008-07-26 09:23:33
Thanks for your positive answers !

Yeah finding players are a problem, so far there is nobody on the english server, it's for future. On french servers, there is often 5 to 10 players.

I don't want to make too much publicity while I work on improving the game, I wait for a new version that works well on most computers.
16  Games Center / Archived Projects / Marbleous on: 2008-07-25 19:22:53
Hi all,

Sorry for my bad english, i'm french.

I read this board since two or three weeks and it's time to introduce myself and the game I work on Smiley

I'm a beginner in java and game development. Eight years ago, I hava discovered a java online game that was called Marbleous, a really simple but addictive game with a community of fans. 3 or 4 years ago, the game was abandonned by the french game sites. The community was really sad and I tried to work on Marbleous to make it back to life.
I have decompiled the applet, and with the game, I have coded a server to run the game without modification of the client (it takes me few month to make it works quite stable). I have learned java at this time, that was a good motivation Smiley
The game has revived but without publicity people slowly abandonned the game. Four months ago I have get back to work on it, new site web, finding old players. The game has a major problem, it was developped for Microsoft VM with old API. That's how I arrived here, seeking information on how to improve performance of the game.

That's it for the story, you don't sleep ? Ok let's play Smiley

Marbleous is an online game that looks like the famous Bust-a-move / Puzzle Bobble game from Taito but you play in rooms with up to ten players. You can make teams, each time you break bubbles, ennemis get more bubble on their screen. You get spells too, positive or negative to disrturb or help players. There is also a chat.
