if google announce a poor 3d plugin, every body say : "waou that's fantastic and inovating" even if a dozen of more powerfull other plugin already exists still more than 10 years, but if an unknow society comme with something that may be really "innovating and/or at least interresting", ... "pwa, it is not google nor mozilla nor ATI nor nvidia nor one of my fan society or programmer... so this probably not interresting because if it was for sure my fan companies would already have found it" but ... 100% of company works for money not for quality or innovation and most inventions are made at first by passionated people and later embeded in company when they see it can grab money.

Yes and no. Oftentimes to make money a company must be innovative, so the two go hand-in-hand.

No. The problem here is that what they're showing is horribly suboptimal for games. They're focusing on a single perceived problem with polygonal graphics (flat surfaces), and solve that while introducing a million new problems that they refuse to acknowledge.
It's a money grab.

Barely worked on my Nvidia machine. Most of them didn't work at all, one of them managed about 0.5fps Sad Video was pretty though.
