Offtopic:
The chicken was totally before the egg!
The egg was first, because the animal that laid the egg was not-quite-yet-a-chicken, and due to a genetic modification, the animal inside the egg was-about-to-develop-as-a-chinken.

Boring.... next: what was first? energy, the big bang, or the tcp packet?

or maybe the animal that was not-quite-yet-a-chicken did not make an egg but a genetic modified animal capable to make an egg ! what a passionating thread lol

Or perhaps the animal was a not-quite-chicken and yet was mutated ever so slightly by over exposure to sunlight, and so became a chicken midway through its life. Although I'll admit that's pretty unlikely.

Or, wait... on the 4th day of creation God created the chicken.

I was hazarding a guess. Your source doesn't show much proof either way, though. The wording is so archaic it's hard to tell if they're saying that all the previous stuff that happened was the total of the 5th day, or if all the stuff following will be the 5th day. i.e. are they saying the 5th day just ended or just started?

I think I'm going to start a new sect of Christianity where we interpret that chickens were made on the 4th day. We will be called the Chiccans.

the chicken was made the 4th and the egg the 5th ?
or
the egg was made the 4th and the chicken the 5th ?

contrary to popular belief, when chickens descended on earth, flapping their disproportional sized wings furiously in midair, it was not the chicken that landed first, but the egg.

Sure it's a duff source, but fact and religion were never close friends - maybe this will convince you? (believe it or Farmer Satan will sell you to make McHell nuggets!)

It was sent back in time by KFC after being genetically engineered in the far future. Kentucky Fried Green Tomato just wasn't working for them.

Well they were lucky, because they were following the chicken in the sky on the fourth day, finally they got there on the fifth day after the sky-chicken had laid its first egg. And then they had a delicious omelette, right along with giving away the frankincense and myrrh.
