i'm entirely consumed with my work as a sort of researcher and coding monkey. i did a prototype for a Zed remake in java to a point where most of the graphics and pseudo ai ground work was done wih a friend of mine but it lost its drive. we lack artists and my experience tells me that you don't get any for free that can do more than drawing their favorite anime furry girl thing :p

i'm currently playing with the thought of writting a sequel to quantum, mixing its principles with ideas from zed and incubation. i'll try to create an open infrastructure in order to be able to make it really multiplattform (iphone, android). i'll probably not be able to actually get my hands dirty with coding for a few more months but will report any progress here.

here's a couple of images from the zed clone thing. google for jzed, the sources are on google  code

that was put together in about a week starting at some mesh tests to a full blown editable terrain and pathfinding engine. as i said the code for it is out there on google code. it is plain jogl.

Hey there,

i'm back. Had to create a new account as i've lost the credentials for my old account (marzec). Nice to see quantum is now in the featured section Smiley

Hello!

Just want to let you know that I'm impressed of your game. Nicely done! Gonna have a look at your code too.
Are you still working on this game?

Cheers mate!

Hi,

I considered Quantum to be mostly finished so i haven't put any energy into it for a year now. Some people did some work on it, e.g. reworking the UI and so on. It will probably stay in the state it is.

Greetings from Austria Smiley

Hi,
I started to optimize the game (using OpenAL for sound, smaller code cleanups). Has someone the changes made by the other people (I think it was feuerkugel in the quantum forum)? I lost them.
bye
